A metaphor that may change your life
A stick of dynamite.
As we all know, a stick of dynamite is filled with vast amounts of potential energy; and when you bring a flame to the fuse of that stick of dynamite, the energy will be released to change the physical world around it. This is deceiving because to the eye a stick of dynamite isn’t very big, and it doesn’t appear to have such power and energy.
The Stick
The same is true for you, you are just like that stick of dynamite. Within you is limitless potential, that when ignited and released, can greatly impact the world around you in a unique way. The key is learning how to unleash that potential.
The Fuse
The fuse is the means by which the potential energy is released. Metaphorically it is the path we follow to unleash our potential. The fuse represents insights, visions, and ideas that come to us through our intuition. It also includes our passions and things that excite us on a deeper level, making us feel ‘alive’.
This idea came to YOU, it’s a gift. If it deeply excites you, brings life and energy to your body and mind it means that it’s calling to your soul - it’s linked to your life’s purpose. Follow it.
The Flame
The flame is the last element needed for the dynamite’s explosion, without it the potential energy within remains dormant, contained, and unused.
The flame represents our action. You could have an insight that could change the world, or bring you the life of your dreams but without acting on it, it’s just an idea or vision. When you have an inspiration, insight, or idea that excites your soul, follow it, and take immediate action.
The more action we take that is in alignment with our soul’s purpose, the more the flame burns away at the fuse, and the closer it is to setting free the potential energy within. Metaphorically, each action that follows this internal guidance adds more fuel to your internal fire. The more inspired, excited, and alive you feel, the more ‘luck’ comes your way, new doors open up for you, opportunities present themselves to you, and the closer you are to reaching that ‘explosion’ - truly unleashing your potential in a way you never thought possible.
How many times have you had an idea, inspiration, or vision but didn’t act on it?
Be still and listen to your intuition, pay attention to what deeply excites you, follow it even though it might not make sense - it rarely does. Following your soul’s purpose is the way to tapping into the limitless potential that resides within us, and through that we can live our most fulfilling and impactful lives.
